CAPSTRANS RESEARCH DEGREESCAPSTRANS offers two postgraduate research degree courses —a Master of Social Change and Development (Research) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Master of Social Change and Development (Research)This course provides students with an opportunity to undertake research at an advanced level. It consists of a combination of coursework training and a specialized thesis research and can be completed in three semesters on a full-time basis (1.5 years) or six semesters on a part-time basis (3 years). For
study at the University of Wollongong Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)PhDs are taken as pure research dissertations (theses). CAPSTRANS Staff jointly supervise topics within our broad range of research programs. CAPSTRANS PhD students have the opportunity to be part of research teams working on applied and theoretical issues, and are part of the dynamic seminar program. The PhD is normally completed within 3-4 years full-time study (or part-time equivalent). For
