This project investigates the development of Korean film industry policies during Japanese colonial rule. Brian Yecies examinines materials related to the Korean cinema and explores important policy initiatives which took place during the expansion of the Japanese Empire. The long-term aim is to build the foundation of a larger comparative study, critically examining key policy developments and drawing correlations between the film industries in Australia, Korea, and Japan.
